The duels for semi final one of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 have been revealed by the Norwegian broadcaster. The show will be broadcast live, without an audience, on January 15th.
- Mira Craig – “We Still Here”
- Eline Noelia – “Ecstasy”
- Frode – “Black Flowers”
- Trollfes – “Dance Like a Pink Flamingo”
The winner of each duel will move on to the Golden Duel, where the two winners will battle it out for a place in the grand final.
During each of the semi finals, one of the pre-qualified acts will perform their Melodi Grand Prix entry. In semi final one, we will see Elsie Bay performing “Death Of Us“.
The introduction of semi finals and duels to Melodi Grand Prix was first seen in 2020 for the 60th anniversary of the show. After a successful debut, they were brought back in 2021, and will once again be seen in 2022.
Melodi Grand Prix 2021 saw Tix winning with his song “Ut Av Mørket”, that was later translated into English, and performed at Eurovision as “Fallen Angel”. Tix brought Norway into the final where he finished in 18th place with 75 points.
