This evening marked the final of the Junior Songfestival, hosted by Matheu (JESC 2019) and Stefania (JESC 2016, ESC 2020/2021), much like last year, highlighting their ongoing passion for the contest.

The young band Stay Tuned, comprised of Inkar, Miucha, Niek, and Chiara, secured their spot at Junior Eurovision 2024 after an exciting voting sequence.

The gala featured nine contestants grouped into four participating acts, who performed in the following order:
– Dunyah, Hidde, and Saïda (group)
– Veronika (soloist)
Stay Tuned (Inkar, Miucha, Niek, and Chiara, group)
– Ruben (soloist)

The final rankings after the voting were as follows (Children’s Jury + Professional Jury + Public Vote):
1. Stay Tuned (12+10+12=34 points)
2. Veronika (10+12+10=32 points)
3. Dunyah, Hidde, and Saïda (9+8+9=26 points)
4. Ruben (8+9+8=25 points)

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place in Madrid at the Casa Mágica on November 24th, under the theme “Let’s Bloom.” With 17 countries competing, this promises to be a spectacular event. The Netherlands’ entry, ‘Music,’ is a pop anthem meant to unite young generations through music and celebrate unforgettable moments.

As the longest-standing participant in Junior Eurovision, the Netherlands has competed in every edition since the contest began in 2003. They claimed victory in 2009 with Ralf Mackenbach’s “Click Clack” and have achieved 12 additional top 10 placements. The country has hosted the contest twice: at Rotterdam Ahoy in 2007 and the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam in 2012.
