
Three more names have been added to the list of singers who might participate in the 61st edition of Melodifestivalen.
Aftonbladet, which is one of the biggest newspapers in Sweden, have dug into some sources to let people know what’s going on with the selected artists in the national final. Today, three more singers were announced: Jessica Andersson, Klara Hammarström and Alvaro Estrella. All of these names are familiar in the context that they have participated in Melodifestivalen before.
Jessica Andersson has competed in Melodifestivalen 7 times, and has won the contest once, in 2003 when she was in the duo Fame with the song “Give Me Your Love”. The last time she competed was in 2018 with the song “Party Voice”. She qualified directly to the final.
Klara Hammaström participated in Melodifestivalen for the first time this year. he competed with the song “Nobody” in the second heat, but she didn’t qualified to Andra Chansen or the final.
Alvaro Estrella is a familiar name in Melodfestivalen. He has been a backup singer and a backup dancer before, but in 2014, he competed for the first time as a solo singer with his song “Bedroom”, but he didn’t qualify from his heat. This year he competed with Mendez with the song “Vamos Amigos” and they qualified from Andra Chansen to the final.
