National Final season 2026 begins tonight with Moldova and Malta!
The national final season for Eurovision 2026 is finally upon us! After Albania and Montenegro selected their Eurovision 2026 representatives back in December 2025, it’s now the turn of Moldova and Malta. Tonight, the final of Selecția Națională in Chisinau and MESC in Ta’ Qali will take place.
Moldova: Selecția Națională 2026
After confirming their return to Eurovision 2026 back in November, the broadcaster soon confirmed they would be holding a live televised national final to find their representative – Selecția Națională 2026. You can watch the show live on the TRM website and YouTube channel, and listen on Radio Moldova Muzical.
The show will take place at Arena Chișinău from 18:00-20:30 CET. A total of 16 acts will be competing. The results will be determined by 1/3 international jury, 1/3 Moldovan jury and 1/3 public vote. TRM have confirmed that Jamala (Ukraine 2016); Efendi (Azerbaijan 2020 & 2021) and Paula Selling (Romania 2010 & 2014) will be among the international jury members.

Malta: MESC 2026
On Thursday evening, we saw the semi final of MESC 2026, and tonight, we see the final. 12 acts have qualified to the final that will take place at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali from 20:45-00:00 CET. The hosts of the show are Destiny Chukunyere (Junior Eurovision 2015 / Eurovision 2020 & 2021); Gaia Cauci (Junior Eurovision 2013) and Keane Cutajar. The results will be decided by 50% jury vote and 50% public vote. You can watch the show live on TVM.
