Back in March 2020, Erika Vikman slayed in Finland’s national final ‘Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu’ and came in second out of six participants with her erotic and fierce banger Cicciolina. In the end she wasn’t chosen to represent her country in Rotterdam but she earned a lot of hearts from people in the Eurovision bubble.
On 21st of August she presented her new song Syntisten pöytä. The song is very fierce and sexual as her national final entry. In the song Erika promises more fun on the table of sinners for those who already found their right way in life. You can check out her music video below.
Finland’s Eurovision history goes back to 1961 when they first debuted in the contest and they have taken part in fifty three editions ever since. Finland has come last in the contest eleven times, with the latest being in 2019 with ‘Look Away’ by Darude ft. Sebastian Rejman. In 2006, however band Lordi won the contest with ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’, which brought the contest to Helsinki in 2007. Finland’s most memorable entries include ‘Leave Me Alone’ by Hanna Pakarinen, ‘Marry me’ by Krista SIgfrieds, ‘Blackbird’ by Norma John and ‘Monsters’ by Saara Aalto. Aksel was chosen to fly the Finnish flag at Eurovision 2020 but in the end the contest was cancelled.
