The Estonian national broadcaster ERR has revealed the first 12 semi-finalists for Eesti Laul 2021 live during Ringvaade. Earlier it was announced that 156 songs were submitted for review.
The semi finals will be broadcasted on 18th and 20th of February with a final on 6th of March. All three shows will take place in Tallinn.
This is what the first half of acts who will compete to represent Estonia in Eurovision Song Contest 2021 looks like:
Estonia has made 25 appearances at the Eurovision Song Contest since making its debut in 1994. Estonia intended to debut in the 1993 contest, however, they failed to make it to the final. In 2001 Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL won the contest with the song Everybody, which brought the contest to Tallin in 2002, where Estonia ended 3rd. Estonia’s Most notable entries include: Leto Svet (2008) Rändajad (2009) and La Forza (2018) Uku Suviste won Estonia’s National Selection Eesti Laul, which has been running since 2009, and was supposed to represent the country in Rotterdam, before the contest was cancelled.
