Today marked Ukraine’s first Eurovision rehearsal for the first semi-final, featuring alyona alyona & Jerry Heil with their captivating entry “Teresa & Maria.” These two esteemed Ukrainian artists have taken the stage by storm, blending pop and rap in a performance that promises to leave a lasting impression.
The staging for “Teresa & Maria” has been significantly elevated from their performance at Vidbir. The set features a unique on-stage rock slope, reminiscent of TEYA DORA’s setup and last year’s entry by Brunette. Jerry Heil ascends this rocky terrain, creating a mystical atmosphere with the aid of a wind machine, while alyona alyona emerges from stage right, delivering her rap interlude with heart and soul.
Every element of the staging is carefully crafted to evoke a sense of ethereal beauty. From Jerry Heil’s ethereal floaty dress to the shadowy figures on the LED wall and the haunting choral backing vocals, the performance exudes a captivating and almost hymnal quality.
Despite the absence of pyrotechnics, the performance culminates in a breathtaking overhead shot that merges their two figures into a visually striking tableau, adding an artistic touch to their compelling act.
