In the morning of Monday, December 11th Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS announced on Instagram that Joost Klein will represent the Netherlands in Malmö 2024.
The leader of this year’s panel, Twan Van Nieuwenhuijzen, said, “his song has the potential to be a big hit. You can hear Joost’s trademark, a combination of party and nostalgia in it. With that said we believe that Joost, with his creativity will create a great act and surprise the Netherlands and Europe in a positive way”.
After a massive online campaign everyone in the country knew about Joost’s ambitions to participate at the song contest. But when on December 7th a radio station ‘leaked’ that Joost wasn’t in the final 3 artists, a lot of fans thought that it was over for Joost, but in the end he was chosen over 600 other artists.
