Denmark’s national broadcaster DR has revealed that major staging updates are on the way for Sissal’s Eurovision 2025 entry, Hallucination. Following strong public reactions after her Dansk Melodi Grand Prix win, the broadcaster is taking fan feedback seriously — and that means some big changes.

“We have had sleepless nights,” admitted Erik Struve Hansen of DR. “But we’ve listened carefully to the reactions and are working hard to deliver something really strong in Basel.”

What’s Changing?

Here are the key updates DR has promised:

  • 🎬 New Opening Effects: The first 10 seconds of the performance will now feature dynamic audio transitions and sharper visuals — designed to grab your attention immediately.

  • 👗 Costume Reveal: Sissal will start the song in a black-and-white outfit, which transforms into a royal blue costume mid-performance — visually underlining the emotional transformation within Hallucination.

  • 🌬️ Fabric & Movement: A large flowing fabric will now be incorporated on stage, capable of changing color and interacting with wind effects, creating a more immersive, trippy visual — true to the title.

  • 🕺 Dancer Choreography: Sissal will be joined by four dancers, adding movement and dimension to help translate the story of Hallucination visually.

DR clearly wants to ensure Denmark’s staging can stand up against fierce competition and deliver something modern, sleek, and unforgettable in Basel.
