Now that we’ve seen the first rehearsals (plus some second rehearsals!) for all of the semi finalists on stage at Pala Alpitour, it’s now the turn of the Big 5 to take to the stage for their first rehearsal.
Today, we will see the first rehearsals for France; Italy; United Kingdom; Spain and Germany, with their second rehearsals expected on Saturday 7th May.
Next up on the Eurovision stage is Mahmood (minus Blanco). It was reported yesterday that Blanco would be missing the first rehearsal due to completing his Blu Celeste Tour at the Tuscany Hall in Florence. So Mahmood was on stage with a stand-in.
We can see lots of dark colours surrounding the stage and arena for Italy, with lots of white lights interspersed. The staging seems rather simplistic, yet striking, and it appears as though it will be very similar to what we saw of them at Sanremo. We can see Mahmood and the stand-in act facing each other whilst performing, just like in Sanremo. There is also a grand piano on stage, but we have yet to see Michelangelo, who is expected to join them on stage at the piano.
