Eurovision 2023 final to be shown in cinemas across the United Kingdom

The final of Eurovision 2023 will be shown in cinemas across the United Kingdom.

It has been confirmed that Vue Cinemas will be screening the grand final of Eurovision 2023 on May 13th in over 500 cinemas across the United Kingdom, with fancy dress and sing-a-longs encouraged.

John Travers of CinemaLive, who is in charge of delivering Eurovision to cinemas in the United Kingdom has said that his company is “delighted” to be working with the BBC to bring Eurovision to the cinema for the first time: “We want audiences to enjoy themselves, come along in groups, get your fancy dress on, and come together to enjoy this historic occasion on the big screen.”

Robert Lea, Head of Screen Content at Vue Entertainment, is equally as delighted and “thrilled” by Eurovision 2023 coming to cinemas.

“Eurovision is one of the biggest television events of the year, and is set to be bigger than ever in the UK this year as Liverpool plays host, so we are thrilled to be bringing it to the big screen for the first time. “Every song, every vote and every larger than life moment will be live streamed in amazing picture and sound quality for fans to enjoy with each other in the comfort of our premium seating.”

This year will be the first year that Eurovision will be shown in cinemas in the United Kingdom. Spain has previously shown Eurovision in cinemas across the country, and will do so again this year, but for the United Kingdom, it’s a first.

Tickets for the Eurovision 2023 grand final screenings will go on sale at 10:00 GMT on Monday 27th March 2023, and can be purchased via

Eurovision returns to the United Kingdom for the first time since 1998, after Eurovision 2022 winners, Ukraine, were unable to safely host the contest in their country.

This year will mark the first time that Liverpool will host Eurovision, with previous editions being held in London, Edinburgh, Brighton, Harrogate and Birmingham respectively.
