After many months of radio silence, the Swiss broadcaster have now revealed that their artist and song for Eurovision 2022, (complete with official music video), will be revealed on March 8th.

The Swiss broadcaster SRF decided to opt for an internal selection again, as they have been doing since 2019, and had two jury panels to help chose their song and singer.

Just like in 2019 and 2020, this years selection saw a 100-person jury panel to help chose Switzerland’s Eurovision 2022 entry. All of the submissions were reviewed by the 100 person panel as well as a 20 member international expert jury, which included the likes of Ilinca (Romania 2017), PAENDA (Austria 2019) and Tinkara Kovač (Slovenia 2014).

Since the Swiss broadcaster brought in this internal selection method in 2019, they have seen great success in Eurovision, with Luca Hänni finishing in 4th place in 2019 and Gjon’s Tears winning the jury vote and finishing in 3rd place overall in 2021.
