New Details About Laura Thorn’s Journey to Basel

In 2017, Kristian Kostov stole our hearts with his song Beautiful Mess, coming second only to Portugal’s Salvador Sobral. Since then, Kristian has been treating us with his voice in singles such as The One (I Need You), Burning Bridges (a song with the Norwegian entrant for 2017 Jowst) and even two EP’s in the form of “Shower Thoughts” in 2018 and “Mood” earlier this year. However, now it seems Kostov wants to change direction and he is doing this through his new project – VOSTOK.
In the first Instagram post on the account @Iamvostok, Kostov ambiguously describes the background of the project
“Calling it a brain was an oversimplified name coined by its creator – the actual term was far too long for humans to comprehend, so the decision was to adapt it”

The first single from this project was released October 16th. Called “Psycho”, the song takes more of a spooky vibe than the rest of his songs beforehand. The electronic elements and rapping make this single a world apart from his prior releases.
