Freya Skye will not perform her song “Lose My Head” live at the Junior Eurovision jury show.

In a statement made by the Eurovision Press, they said:

“For medical reasons UK artists Freya Skye will not perform in the 2nd Dress Rehearsal of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 10 December. A recording of her performance from the 1st Dress Rehearsal held earlier in the day will be used instead.”

Freya has been suffering with illness all week. The BBC used a backing track for her 1st rehearsal on Wednesday, and Freya was unable to perform at all on Friday for her 2nd rehearsal.

As the online voting opened on Friday, a clip of the 1st rehearsal was used in the recap, with a notice that Freya wasn’t singing live appearing at the bottom.

Freya is still expected to perform live tomorrow for the Junior Eurovision 2022 Grand Final.
