The Icelandic final is complete: Results for the second semifinal from Söngvakeppnin 2022 are in

Katla & Reykjavíkurdætur have advanced to the final!

Björg Magnúsdóttir, Jón Jónsson and Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir all served as tonight’s hosts of the second semi final, where a total of five acts took to the stage at RVK Studios in Reykjavík. Two acts advanced to the final, decided by 100% televoting.

  • Markéta Irglová – Mögulegt
  • Suncity & Sanna – Hækkum Í Botn
  • Reykjavíkurdætur (Daughters of Reykjavík) – Tökum Af Stað QUALIFIED
  • Katla – Þaðan Af Qualified
  • Hanna Mia and The Astrotourists – Séns Með Þér

In addition to these two qualifiers, Sigga, Beta & Elín (with the song Með hækkandi sól) and Stefán Óli (with the song Ljósið) who have qualified last week will compete in the grand final that will take place on March 12th. 

Amarosis advanced through the wildcard

As always, there is a wildcard for the ones who haven’t qualified immediately through the semifinal. This time, Amarosis was the lucky act that also advances to the final with the song Don’t You Know (Íslenska Útgáfan). They were competing in the first semifinal.
