Loreen won with 177 points, Marcus & Martinus came in 2nd place while Smash Into Pieces came in 3rd.
The result were decided using a system of 50% international jury votes and 50% televotes. Loreen won the jury vote and the televote.
Loreen is first returning artist for Sweden at Eurovision since 2008 with Charlotte Perrelli and her song “Hero“
Since 2014 and 2019, Sweden have only failed to reach the top 10 once (2021). Last year, Cornelia Jakobs reached 4th place with her song “Hold Me Closer“. Sweden have won the contest 6 times (including a victory from Loreen herself), and with the Nordic country currently being first the odds, could they claim a 7th victory and tie Ireland’s record for most Eurovision wins.
