It has been confirmed that Jason ManfordChelcee Grimes and Fleur East will be fronting two new Eurovision shows that will be coming to the BBC in the coming weeks.

Eurovision Calling: Jason and Chelcee’s Ultimate Guide

Produced by Little Gem, this programme will showcase 20 reasons why The Eurovision Song Contest is the greatest show on earth. Using a mix of archive footage, and interviews, the programme will delve into the history of Eurovision, and how it went on to become the biggest live music event in the world.

The hosts of this programme will be Comedian Jason Manford and singer-songwriter Chelcee Grimes. Jason, who will be catching up with Sam Ryder and Katrina Leskanich (of Katrina and The Waves), has said:

“As a glory-hunting latecomer to the Eurovision phenomena, I’m fascinated to speak to the people who create it, perform in it and most of all who love it! And discover why it means so much to so many people around the world and why is it considered the greatest show on Earth”

Liverpudlian Chelcee will be providing viewers with exclusive behind the scenes access to preparations for Eurovision 2023, whilst taking the audience on a journey through Liverpool, revealing some little known facts about Eurovision. She also visits Sweden, to find out just how popular Eurovision is in the Scandinavian country. Chelcee is buzzing at being a part of this programme:

“Me and my mates have always loved Eurovision, I’ve been to many Eurovision parties over the years, so it’s boss to be able to make a documentary about it and meet some of the stars of the show, both in front of and behind the camera”.

This programme will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Monday 8th May 2023.

Eurovision: Everyone’s A Winner

Produced by Shearwater Media, Eurovision: Everyone’s A Winner is a one-off chart countdown of the 20 most successful Eurovision songs that didn’t win the contest. The top 20 countdown will feature some familar faces, as well as some surprises, as Fleur mentions: “I’m so excited to be hosting my own pre-Eurovision party in Liverpool, celebrating some of the songs that didn’t quite win, but still went on to become massive hits around the world. This is a top twenty countdown with a real difference, including tracks we all know and love, plus a few surprises.”

This programme will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Friday 12th May 2023.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be coming to Liverpool in the United Kingdom on May 9th, 11th and 13th, after it was decided that Eurovision 2022 winners Ukraine could not safely host the contest in their country.
