The second semi-final of Iceland’s national selection tour, Söngvakeppnin, has also concluded. Last week, following the first semi-final, Anita and Væb had earned their spots in the final show.
Following tonight’s second semi-final, Hera Björk was announced as the next finalist, followed by Bashar Murad. Hera Björk previously represented Iceland in 2010 with the song “Je ne sais quoi,” finishing 19th with 41 points in the Eurovision Song Contest.
As you know, the channel can choose to give a wildcard to an additional contestant if they wish, granting them a chance to compete in the final show. Tonight, Sigga Ózk became the holder of the wildcard!
The final show, which will determine the representative of Iceland in Eurovision 2024, will take place on March 2nd.
