“I feel better after the changes, more prominent, like a hero from a movie,” Silvester shared with LRT.lt during the first rehearsal in the Malmö arena, showcasing the updated stage costume.

“The image seen during the national selection hasn’t strayed too far—it retains the same colors, fabric, and silhouette. However, there have been changes,” noted stylist Vainotas Jakštas, responsible for our country’s representative’s appearance at Eurovision.

According to him, certain changes were dictated by decisions regarding the contest’s stage design—the cross-shaped structure expanding from the arena’s center envelops viewers from all sides, prompting adjustments to the costume to ensure it appears even more striking from every angle.

“This resulted in a kind of wave, resembling petals, organically merging with Silvester, his song, and the performance’s mood,” V. Jakštas explained.

He also highlighted another outstanding detail—custom-made shoes created specifically for the performance, embellished with the inscription “Luktelk.”

Despite alterations in accessories, distinctive earrings, a business card for the performer’s appearance, and a nose accessory—one of the performance’s most important symbols—remain unchanged.

Silvester’s Eurovision image reflects V. Jakštas’s vision, brought to life with the assistance of three Lithuanian designers: costume by Marija Petraitytė, unique shoes by Kamilė Peleckytė, and accessories by Gintarė Pečkytė.

“I acted as an intermediary, tasked with ensuring that all elements of the appearance merge into a cohesive whole that we will see on stage,” the stylist revealed.

Considering the changes to Silvester’s costume, adjustments were also made to the dancers’ attire—the goal was to maintain their appearance as mystical beings and shadows, resulting in circular lines appearing on the goblets, creating more organic elements on stage.

“It’s very heartening that Silvester’s image for Eurovision was crafted specifically by our country’s designers. In Malmö, we aim to showcase more of their work, as well as demonstrate how Lithuania perceives and understands fashion. Therefore, at all the most important Eurovision events, including the grand opening ceremony, Silvester will be donning creations by our country’s designers,” V. Jakštas revealed.

LRT.lt reminds us that the official 68th Eurovision opening ceremony will take place just a couple of days before the first semi-final contest, during which our country’s performer will take the stage. The contest’s final will resound on May 11th.
