The semi finalists for Eesti Laul 2024 have been announced.

The Estonian broadcaster has revealed the names of the 15 acts that will be competing in the semi final of Eesti Laul 2024 on January 20th. The semi finalists were decided by a 41 member jury, made up of composers, artists, performers, producers, music lovers, teachers, radio and television professionals.

  2. Anet Vaikmaa –  “Serotonin”
  3. Antsud – “Vetevaim”
  4. Cecilia – “FOMO”
  5. Ewert and The Two Dragons – “Hold Me Now”
  6. Inga – “No Dog On a Leash”
  7. Ingmar – “Dreaming”
  8. Laura Põldvere – “Here’s Where I Draw the Line”
  9. Cartoon, Ewert Sundja – “Oblivion”
  10. Ollie – “My Friend”
  11. Peter Põder – “Again”
  12. Silver Jusilo – “Lately”
  13. “Be Good” – Sofia Rubina
  14. Traffic – “Wunderbar”
  15. Yonna – “I Don’t Know About You”

The semi final line-up includes some familiar faces, and some former Eurovision and Eesti Laul participants. Ivo Etti, member of Ewart and The Two Dragons, was part of Ruffus, who represented Estonia at Eurovision 2003.

Stig Rästa, who represented Estonia in 2015 with Elina Born is back to Eesti Laul with his band Traffic, who have participated in Eesti Laul five times, and Eurolaul once (2008). Two times Eurovision participant in 2005 and 2017, Laura Põldvere is also returning. OLLIE participated in Eesti Laul 2023 with “Venom”.

The five acts who the jury panel decided would go straight to the final will be announced on Ringvaade on November 7th. All of the 20 competing songs in Eesti Laul 2024 will be released in December.

Estonia achieved one of their best Eurovision results this year when Alika finished in 8th place with 168 points in the Eurovision 2023 final. Will they be able to achieve the same success in 2024? What are your thoughts on the semi final line-up? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
