Olly, (Federico Olivieri) at his second participation to Sanremo after 2023, when he sang Polvere ending in 24th place, has won the 75th edition of the Italian music festival with his song “Balorda Nostalgia“, overturning the odds, that seemed to favour Giorgia during the final night.
The win comes for the Genoese singer after a year of successes, one of them being a duet with last year’s Eurovision Italian contestant, Angelina Mango.
On Sunday morning, at the RAI press conference, we will know if he has formally accepted to represent Italy at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, although it’s safe to speculate he will.
In the unlikely case he refuses, the runner-up Lucio Corsi will be offered.
In the first part of the night, Televotes casted during the evening were added to the partial result announced at the beginning of the broadcast, resulting in the final ranking from 6th to 30th place.
To decide the final top 5, a fresh round of votes, consisting of 34% televote, 33% radio jury and 33% press jury was collected in the second part of the night and added to previous results, completing the final scoreboard as follows:
