Alfred García, who represented Spain in The Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with Amaia Romero, and who participated in Operación Triunfo 2017, has just released his second single called “Praia Dos Moinhos” for his second album.
"Los Espabilados": his first single of his new album
In December 2020, the singer and songwriter Alfred García released “Los Espabilados” which is the soundtrack of the drama series called “Los Espabilados” written by the famous author Albert Espinosa, which can be found on Movistar +. This song was the first one that he release after almost two years of waiting, due to a halt that he took to focus on his work and to rest.
Why the name of "Praia Dos Moinhos"?
About his new single, Alfred confessed in an interview during a concert organized by RAC1 (a Catalan radio station) that the name of his new song is actually the name of a beach in São Miguel, an island of Portugal, that he visited while he was filming some content during the time of Eurovision 2018. Where in just two days, Praia Dos Moinhos became an important place for him, because it was where he found himself again in a very short period of time.
The video of the song was filmed in el Prat de Llobregat, in his natal city, where we are able to see a new and renovated Alfred García more secure about himself, involved in a very detailed aesthetic. During the interview he also said that: “Praia Dos Moinhos talks about what later I remember about that chapter of my life and the end of that era”.
Currently, it hasn’t been announced yet when his second album is going to be published so we will have to be patience and wait, probably a couple of months, until we know the exact date and enjoy his new music.
