POLL: Who should represent Albania at Eurovision 2024?

After the first two nights of Festivali i Këngës #62 we now know the 31 songs who will compete for the Eurovision ticket.

Festivali i Këngës was first held In 1962, when Albania joined the contest in 2004 they started using it as a national selection as well. In 2023 the rules changed, now the jury panel of 11 specialists will decide the winner of the contest, but the televote decides the Eurovision representative. We saw the results immediately as Elsa Lila won the contest, but Albina & Familja Kelmendi won the Eurovision ticket.

On night 3 the qualifiers for the final will be announced. This isn’t as important for the artists who want to attent Eurovision, as the televote can vote for songs that got eliminated aswel.

Familiar names performed as Elsa Lila, the jury winner of FIK #61, Kastro Zizo, Sergio Hajdini and Melodajn Mancaku.

The festival is hosted in the Palace of Congress in Tirana. The two nights were hosted by Adriana Matoshi, Kledi Kadiu, and Krisa Çaushi. Between acts, Xhuliano Dule preformed a stand-up comedy act.

Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest

Albania joined the contest in 2004 and have since not missed a edition. They have qualified for the final 11 times out of 19. Rona Nishliu sang Suus in 2012, which finished 5th, the best result of the country since their debute.
