BBC confirm one-off special television programme to reveal the United Kingdom's Eurovision 2024 entry.

The BBC have confirmed that a one-off special programme, Eurovision 2024: Graham meets Olly, will be broadcast live on March 1st. The show wil see the United Kingdom’s commentator and 2023 co-host Graham Norton chatting with Olly Alexander about his upcoming participation in Eurovision 2024 in Malmö.

Alongside talking to Graham Norton about the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Olly Alexander will also be revealing his Eurovision 2024 song “Dizzy”, and it’s official music video, for the first time, in full. Olly has previously shared a 20 second snippet of his song on his social media.

This special one-off programme will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Friday, March 1st at 22:40 GMT.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan Magazine just a few days ago, Olly Alexander describes his Eurovision 2024 track as something upbeat and wild: “Any good pop song should take you on a journey. A Eurovision song, especially, should have drama and I hope people feel taken on this thrilling ride. As you can tell from the title, the song is about the overwhelming feeling you get when you’re with someone. It’s upbeat, you can dance to it, and it’s just wild.”

Alongside Eurovision 2024: Graham Meets Olly, the 33 year old singer and actor is fully embracing his Eurovision participation, and is keeping himself busy with all things Eurovision: “It’s a bit of a whirlwind, but it’s also so exciting. I keep waking up and thinking “wow, I can’t believe I’m doing Eurovision.” It’s been really fun to have this wild, joyful event on the horizon and I’m basically just in full Eurovision mode – I’m eating, drinking and living Eurovision and just trying to get time in between with my cats and my boyfriend.”

Olly Alexander, frontman of British group Years and Years, was confirmed as the United Kingdom’s Eurovision 2024 representative back in December 2023. Olly himself broke the news live on television, after he had performed on Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. For his entry “Dizzy”, Olly has teamed up with Danny L Harle, who has worked with the likes of Dua LipaChic and Charlie XCX.
