Internationally acclaimed singer Nutsa Buzaladze will fly the flag for Georgia in Malmö
A surprise announcement has been made today from the Georgian broadcaster GPB, that Nutsa Buzaladze has been internally selected to represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 this May in Malmö, Sweden.
Born and raised in Tblisi, Nutsa is no stranger to the big stage having participated in a wide variety of talent shows on a national & international scale. One of her most notable achievements to date has been finishing in the top 12 of American Idol in 2023, where she had the honour of performing live on stage with Kylie Monogue.
Nutsa Buzaladze burst onto the international music scene when she released her debut album ‘Nutsa22’ back in 2019, which features both Georgian & English compositions. One of her most successful singles so far is “Gelodebi”, which has been a breakout hit ever since she released this in the same year as her debut album.
At last year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, Georgia was represented by Iru with her song “Echo”. Sadly Iru did not advance past the Second Semi-final, earning 33 points and a 12th place finish.
