Tonight we saw the third semi final of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix, where Oda Gondrosen was crowned the winner, and given a spot in the final with her song “Hammer Of Thor”.
The show was broadcast live from H3 Arena in Fornebu, without an audience. Annika Momrak and Mikkel Niva all served as hosts for tonights show.
Four acts participated in tonight’s show, with each act singing in one of two duels. The winner of each duel advanced to the Golden Duel, with the winner of that duel earning a place in the Melodi Grand Prix grand final.

Oda Gondrossen and Vilde were the winners of their respective duels and went head to head in the Golden Duel. The results of the semi final were decided entirely by online voting on the official NRK/MGP app and website.
Alongside the four semi finalists, we also saw the second pre-qualified finalists performing on stage. The third semi final was due to see Subwoolfer performing, but due to the duo testing positive for COVID-19, they were replaced by NorthKid and their song “Someone”.
The fourth and final semi final of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 will be taking place on February 5th, where a further four acts will battle it out for a place in the final. Once the semi finals have wrapped up, there will be one second chance round (split in to two parts) before the grand final on February 19th.
