North Macedonia confirm participation for Junior Eurovision 2023

North Macedonia have confirmed their participation for Junior Eurovision 2023.

The Balkan nation has confirmed that they will be participating in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Nice, France on November 26th.

North Macedonian broadcaster MRT has already announced a call for auditions, which will remain open until May 5th. The auditions will be held on Thursday 11th May from 10:00 CEST at MRT Headquarters in Skopje.

  • All applicants must be between the ages of 9 and 14 on November 26th 2023, and they must be citizens of North Macedonia.
  • All applicants must perform two songs of their own choice, complete with backing tracks.
  • Applications must be submitted to jescmk@mrt.com.mt, and must include the applicants full name, date of birth, email address and phone number for one parent or guardian.

This year will see North Macedonia’s 18th participation in Junior Eurovision since their debut in 2003. Their best reults have come in 2007 and 2008, when they finished in 5th place, and in 2019 when Mila Moskov achieved their highest score to date with 150 points.

Junior Eurovision 2023 will be taking place in Nice on the French Riviera on Sunday November 26th. The contest will be hosted at the Nikai Palace, which has a capacity of up to 9,000 persons.

Alongside North Macedonia, a further nine countries have already confirmed their participation in Junior Eurovision 2023 – Armenia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Spain, The Netherlands and United Kingdom.
