Mogol and Al Bano will perform at Una Voce Per San Marino 2024.
The Sanmarinese broadcaster has confirmed that Italian superstars Mogol and Al Bano will be performing as special guests at this years edition of Una Voce Per San Marino.
Mogol and Al Bano previously presided over Una Voce Per San Marino in 2022 and 2023 as presidents of the jury panel; but this year, they will take on a new role as special guests.
Al Bano, an Italian singer and actor, has participated in Eurovision in 1976 and 1985 with his then wife, Romina Power. He has participated in Sanremo a total of 17 times, in 1968, 1971, 1974, 1976, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2017. Seven of these participations were with Romina Power.
Guilio “Mogol” Rapetti is an Italian lyricist who has worked many famous Italian stars such as Lucio Battisi, Gianna Bella, Marcella Bella, Adriano Celentano and Mango. He has also worked on translating many popular English language songs into Italian, including “California Dreamin'” by The Mamas and Papas, and “A Whiter Shade of Pale” by Procol Harum, among many others.
Una Voce Per San Marino 2024 will see 129 acts performing in the semi final stages of the competition. Eight of these semi finalists will advance to the final, where they will be joined by eignt “Big Artists” who have already pre-qualified to the final. The semi finals will be broadcast between February 19th and 23rd, with the final on February 24th.
