MJESC: Malta announces top 20 finalists for 2021

With the Junior Eurovision Song Contest approaching fast, Malta has announced the top 20 finalists of Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest (MJESC) 2021! The performer who wins the MJESC will be the one to represent Malta in this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris. 

Big increase MJESC popularity

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest has gained a lot more popularity in Malta this year. In fact, there was a massive increase in the number of applicants for MJESC. That is why PBS has decided to spread out the competition into multiple parts this year and invite a broad spectrum of jury members to decide who will represent Malta in this years JESC. 

The first part of the competition  has already taken place. In this first part of the competition, jury members listened to all the competing songs in order to choose 20 finalists (which are listed below).

Now that the 20 finalists have been announced, we are looking forward for part two of the competition; another round of evaluation by a different set of jury members.

There will be a completely new jury to decide who will be competing in the next round of MJESC. Because only 12 of the competing performers and songs will move on to the actual Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 event. 

The event itself will take place on October 16th and will be broadcasted live on TVM and tvm.com.mt
