Mirud has ruled out participation in Festivali i Këngës 61.
The Albanian singer, who has previously participated in Festivali i Këngës on several occassions, has confirmed that he will not be participating in this years edition of the festival.
However, Mirud reveals that he will go to Eurovision for another country instead, as revealed on his official Twitter account.
I won’t be participating in FIK this year due to my other obligations with another festival l have already signed a contract with. I will still go to ESC though for another country. 🔥💪🏼 I’m very excited to share further news with you all 🤍

At present, it is unknown which festival Mirud has signed a contract with, or what country the festival is in.
Mirud, born Durim Morina, is an Albanian singer-songwriter from Kosovo. He rose to fame with cover videos on YouTube, before releasing his first song “Ti Me Harro” in 2018, followed by his debut EP in May 2018. Mirud has participated in Festivali i Këngës 57, 59 and 60 with “Nene”, “Nëse Vdes” and “Për Dreq” respectively.
