It has been confirmed that one member of the Portuguese delegation has tested positive for Covid.

A member of the Portuguese delegation tested positive for Covid today (Wednesday 4th) whilst undergoing mandatory antigenic testing at the Pala Alpitour in Turin. As of now, no other member of the delegation has tested positive.

It is understood that the Portuguese delegation member is feeling well and not displaying any symptoms. However, in accordance with the Health and Safety protocol currently in place, they have taken a PCR test and will isolate in their hotel for a minimum of seven days,

Maro and her team were due to take to the stage for their second rehearsal from 14:45 to 15:05 CET, but due to the positive covid case within their delegation, their rehearsal was pushed back from 17:20 to 17:45.

Portugal are due to perform in the second half of the first semi final on Tuesday May 10th. In the event that they are unable to perform live on stage, they will have the option to participate with one of their rehearsals from Pala Alpitour, as we saw with Iceland last year when one member of their delegation caught Covid.
