Melodi Grand Prix 2022 is one step closer to find their last finalist: After 4 exciting heats, the first round of Last Chance took place tonight. In a radio show, the heat performances from the eliminated 12 acts were shown again one more time. Four of them have advanced to the second round of sistesjansen which will take place next Saturday:
- Mari Bølla – Your Loss
- Maria Mohn – Fly
- Kim Wigaard – La Melodia
- Trollfest – Dance like a pink Flamingo
One of these four will be the tenth and last finalist for the final of MGP 2022. Four acts qualified through the heats. In addition to that, five acts were already pre-qualified prior to the heats based on a jury.
The first heat took place on January 2022. Frode Vassel has won this one with the song Black Flowers. In addition to that, Elsie Bay performed her song Death of Us as the pre-qualifier.
One week later, Farida chalked the victory of the second heat with her ballad Dangerous. Christian Ingebrigsten was the pre-qualified act for this show with the song Wonder of the World.
On January 29, Oda Gondrosen came out victoriously with her mystic song Hammer of Thor and has the chance to represent Norway at Eurovision. The same goes for the pre-qualified band Northkid with the song Someone.
The forth and last Heat took place on February 5. Sofie Fjellvang was able to qualify to the final with the song Made of Glass. Also, Subwoolfer finally had the chance to perform their pre-qualified song Give That Wolf a Banana.
The last automatic qualifier Anna-Lisa Jumoji with her song Queen Bees will present her entry on the Last Chance final on Saturday.
On February 19, Norway will chose their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin and will therefore be the follower of Tix with the song Fallen Angel who finished 18th place with 75 points.
