Meadow will represent The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2025 with the song "Freeze".
The final of Juniorsongfestival 2025 took place this evening live from Rotterdam, where four acts competed for the chance to become the Dutch representative at Junior Eurovision 2025 in Georgia. After receiving all 12 points across the board, it was decided that Meadow will be flying the Dutch flag at this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi thid December.
The results of tonight’s show were determined by 33% children’s jury, 33% expert jury and 33% public vote. On the expert panel were singer-songwriters Sera, Hannah Mae and Billy Dans. On the children’s jury was The Netherland’s Junior Eurovision 2024 representatives Stay Tuned, and Juniorsongfestival 2024 runner-up Veronika.
- Meadow – “Freeze” – 36 points (12 + 12 + 12 points)
- ICONIC – “Don’t Touch” – 28 points (10 + 10 + 8 points)
- Level Up – “Rule The World” – 27 points (9 + 8 + 10 points)
- Coco & Tove – “Strong Girl Summer” – 26 points (8 + 9 + 9 points)
The Netherlands remain the only country that has participated in every single Junior Eurovision Song Contest since it began in 2003. They have won the contest once, in 2009 with Ralf Mackenbach and his song “Click Clack”. Despite only winning once in 2009, they have hosted the contest twice – in Rotterdam in 2007 and Amsterdam in 2012.
The Netherland’s last Junior Eurovision representatives was the group Stay Tuned who represented their country at Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid, Spain with the song “Music”. At the contest, they finished in 10th place overall with 91 points.
Junior Eurovision returns to Tbilisi and Georgia in 2025, after Andria Putkaradze brought Georgia their fourth Junior Eurovision win with the song “Mom”. Georgia previously hosted Junior Eurovision 2017 in Tbilisi. At the present time has been confirmed that 18 countries will be competing in the contest on December 13th, with three returning countries in the line-up – Azerbaijan, Croatia and Montenegro, who last participated in 2021, 2014 and 2015 respectively.
