The Swedish Eurovision heroes Abba are planning a big comeback after 39 years. The Abba new music will be released next friday.
Ever since their Eurovision win back in 1974, Abba continued to be one of the worlds biggest bands. With so many hit songs and even 2 movies inspired on their music, the band has grown to a true pop sensation! Their influence on the music scene has even been discussed in the Netflix show “This Is Pop” and has been a inspiration for pop diva Cher.
Now, after a break of almost 40 years, the band will reportedly be making a big comeback in the music scene.
Will there be a tour?
The question on everyones lips now is, will the new music be followed with a tour?
Well, not only is it said they will come with new music, but Benny, Björn, Agnetha and Anni-Frid will possibly plan a new show called Abba Voyage which will feature their younger years and performances of their classic hits like their winning Eurovision song Waterloo.
Abba Voyage is set to follow their big musical comeback with a specially built theatre in East-London for their unique hologram show. The show will reportedly be openend next month.
What will the show be like?
According to a source of The Sun, the show will be opened bij none other than Benny, Björn, Agnetha and Anni-Frid themselves where they will be showing off their own Abba-tars (like avatars but make it Abba) which will be like holograms of the band members.
During the show, the audience will be transported to the early years of the band and travel through time with the members. The holograms are said to be performing and speaking to the audience.
Why comeback now?
The original plans for Abba to make a comeback was planned for the year 2019, unfortunately due to COVID-19 they had to reschedule.
Plans for the holographic tour Abba Voyage were already made in the year of 2018 but the band said there were unexpected consequence regarding the avatar tour project.
