Two more artists are heading to the Eurovizija.LT Grand Final
Tonight Lithuania took another step forward to determine who will be flying the flag for the country in Malmö this May. Semi-final 2 of 5 took place with a wide variety of talent all hoping to qualify to the Grand final which will be taking place mid-February.
The following artists participated in tonight’s Semi-final:
- Andrius Pojavis – “Sing me a hug”
- Eley – “Rock My Body”
- Deividas Valma – “Blood On Your Hands”
- Aistè – “We Will Rule The World”
- Žalvarinis – “Gaudė Vėjai” (Catching the winds)
- Paula Urbana – “It Is What It Is”
- Thomas G – “Us”
- Multiks – “Vėjas galvoje” (Wind in the head)
Towards the end of what was an incredible show, Aistè and Žalvarinis were announced as the heat’s qualifiers. Juries had the opportunity to vote prior to tonight’s show which counted 50% of the vote, whilst the remaining 50% was decided by the televote.
Aistè and Žalvarinis will now go on to join Silvester Belt & VB gang in the Grand Final, but the question is who else will be joining them? This will be determined in the remaining three Semi-finals taking place over the next three weekends, with the Grand Final set to take place on Saturday 17th February.
At last year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, Lithuania was represented by Monika Linkytė with her song “Stay”. Qualifying smoothly from the Second Semi-final, Lithuania finished in 11th place with 127 points overall.
