Following a few relatively quiet months, Eden Alene, Israel’s representative at Eurovision 2021, released her first song following the contest. The new, fully Hebrew tune is titled “Lakum” (“Waking Up”) and comes with a spacy animated video. Watch it below:
On the laid-back, R&B-infused track, Eden waves goodbye to a partner who was dragging her down and moving on, a theme somewhat similar to her 2021 entry “Set Me Free”. The song was written by Itay Shimoni and produced by Yinon Yahel, who was also the producer on “Feker Libi”, Eden’s intended entry for Eurovision 2020.
