Luna has the honour of representing The Netherlands in Yerevan with her uplifting bop 'La Festa' Here is all the information you need on Luna and her song!
Who is Luna
Luna Sabella is 12 years old, she currently lives in the south of the Netherlands. She has had a passion for performing from a very young age! At the age of 7, she started participating in regional singing competitions and auditions. Luna has played in three different musicals, and last year she participated in The Voice Kids, so it’s safe to say Luna feels at home on a stage!
How did she get selected?
The dutch show ‘Junior Songfestival’ (Junior Eurovision) has been the selection method for the Dutch representative since the very first Junior Eurovision in 2003. Luna made is through the audition rounds, and was finally put as the only solo act, alongside 3 groups. Dominating both the kids jury and adult jury, and finishing winning the online vote, Luna won the selection with 36 points. The full results were:
- Luna- La Festa – 36 points (12+12+12)
- Mixed Up- It Doesn’t Matter – 30 points (10 +10+10)
- HIGH5- Because I Know – 27 points (9+9+9)
- Infinity- Never Ever- 24 points – (8+8+8)

La Festa is an uptempo banger with a very catchy chorus! Robert Dorn, who has written multiple Dutch Junior Eurovision entries including Best Friends by Unity (2020) and Around by Julia (2014) is the songwriter. The song contains several words in Italian, because Luna’s father is part Italian.

The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision
The Netherlands is the only country that has been participating in the Junior Eurovision every edition since their debut in the first edition in 2003. In addition to winning the contest once in 2009, with Ralf Mackenbach and his song Click-Clack, The Netherlands also came second once, in 2011. In 2007 and 2012 they hosted the contest.
