The opening and closing song revealed!

Today, the opening ceremony of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest occurred. It was a pared back show, due to none of the delegations attending the event due to Covid safety concerns.

However, it was still an important evening. This is because the countries that will be opening and closing the show has been chosen. Through a random draw, it has been decided that GERMANY will be opening the 2021 edition of the show, and PORTUGAL will be closing the show. 

The host country France will perform 13th on the night

On top of the opening and closing song being chosen, the host nation France has also chosen their running order position. The draw has decided that they will performing in the 13th Position

When will the full running order be revealed?

The rest of the running order will be revealed later this evening. Historically, the running order of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed within the hours after the opening ceremony. So stay tuned in the next few hours as the running order will be revealed soon!

This year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Sunday 19th December in La Seine Musicale in Paris. The contest will be hosted by former Junior Eurovision participant Carla and TV presenters Élodie Gossuin and Olivier Minne.
