Graham Norton, Lulu and Sam Ryder have joined forces for a special Eurovision themed sketch for Comic Relief.

The sketch sees Graham, Lulu and Sam sitting on a judging panel for celebrity Eurovision 2023 “auditions”, which include some familiar faces.

This sketch sees the likes of Jamie Dornan, Miranda, S Club 7 and Tony Hadley, among others, “auditioning” to become the United Kingdom’s Eurovision 2023 representative.

Both Graham and Sam have very fond memories of Comic Relief, with the British charity meaning a lot to both of them.

“It’s a fantastic coming together, we all work in a very silly industry and it’s great that we can all come together and do something that really matters.”

“I remember watching it with my parents growing up, and I feel like that’s such a privilege and a gift that I get to be involved with things I loved as a kid, I’m getting to experience first-hand now, so I’m really grateful.”

What is Comic Relief?

Comic Relief is an operating British charity that was founded in 1985 by comedy writer Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry.

It was initially set up in response to the famine in Ethiopia, with the concept to get British comedians to make the public laugh, whilst raising money to help people throughout the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.

The highlight of the charity’s appeal is Red Nose Day, which is an annual telethon held every March to raise money to help those in need not only in the United Kingdom, but around the world.

Comic Relief takes place on Friday, 17th March from 19:00 GMT onwards. It will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBCiPlayer.
