Take it or leave it, Malta's staging is what it is!
Malta’s Emma Muscat has completed the first rehearsal of their Eurovision 2022 entry “I Am What I am“
Malta’s staging definitely fits the inspirational, empowering feel of the song. Emma wears a stunning mirror dress and appears to starts the performance sitting at the piano. However when she leaves the piano, she’s joined by 4 backing dancers on lower stage to help Emma build to a dramatic climax like the song does. Throughout the performance, there’s a sea of gold that covers the stage and LED background, typical of an empowering, gospel style song that Emma has. The performance also includes pyro and Emma herself dancing. Check out Emma’s official rehearsal clip on TikTok below:
