KiKA, the German television channel responsible for Germany’s participation in Junior Eurovision, has revealed more details of their selection process for this years contest. Their representative will be chosen through the show “Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?” (Junior ESC – Who is going to Paris?).

The preliminary round of the selection process opened on June 1st. All interested persons aged between 9 and 14 years old can apply via the official KiKA website, KiKA.de. The deadline for submitting your application form is June 25th, but the deadline for uploading your application video is June 30th.

After all the submissions have been received, a jury panel will select five participants to advance to the next stage of the selection process. These five acts will be invited to KiKA studios, where they will each film a voting clip. These clips will be uploaded onto the KiKA website at the end of the month, where people will be able to vote for their three favourite acts.

The three acts with the most points will advance to the final of “Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?” which will take place on September 10th in Erfurt, central Germany, and will be broadcast live. As was the case for their 2020 selection, each of the finalists will be singing two songs each
