There will be a star studded line-up of interval acts for the Eurovision 2024 semi finals.
The interval acts for both semi finals of this years Eurovision Song Contest have been revealed, and we will be seeing some former Eurovision artists returning to the stage once more in Malmö.
Performing in semi final one is Sweden’s Eurovision 2018 representative, Benjamin Ingrosso. He will be performing a medley of some of his songs which he has recently performed around Europe as part of his Better Days Tour. For the semi final, he will be joined by 21 people on stage, who will all create a super medley. Benjamin recently collaborated with the United Kingdom’s Olly Alexander for a new version of his song “Kite”.
Speaking out on his return to the Eurovision stage, Benjamin couldn’t be more happier: “After I got to represent Sweden at Eurovision in 2018, it now feels great to be able to show the audience who I am today. It has been fantastic to meet all the fans on my tour in Europe during the spring and now I hope that the Eurovision audience will love this show as much as I do”
The second semi final will see a female trio of former Eurovision winners – Helena Paparizou, Sertab Erener and Charlotte Perrelli. These three iconic Eurovision stars will be part of a Eurovision’s first sing-a-long, in which the audience and people watching at home will be invited to take part remotely via an interactive TV wall. Instructions on how to do this will be given closer to the time.
Helena Paparizou represented Greece as part of the duo Antique at Eurovision 2001 with “Die For You”. She came back as a soloist four years later and brought Greece their first (and only win) so far with “My Number One”. Helena is more than happy to be returning to the Eurovision stage again, almost 20 years after her win.
“I am more than happy to be back on the Eurovision stage after so many years. Malmö… here I come! Are you ready to sing along with me?”
Sertab Erener brought Turkey their first Eurovision win in 2003 with “Everyway That I Can”, whilst Charlotte Perrelli won for Sweden in 1999 with “Take Me To Your Heaven” and returned again in 2008 with “Hero”.
