Olly Alexander has teamed up with Benjamin Ingrosso for a new version of his hit song 'Kite'.
Back in January, Sweden’s Eurovision 2018 representative Bejamin Ingrosso released his latest single ‘Kite’, a euphoric pop anthem that captures the exhilarating feeling of a new encounter, and the endless possibilities it brings. Fast forward a few months, and the United Kingdom’s Eurovision 2024 representative Olly Alexander has joined forces with Benjamin to re-release the song, something which they are both thrilled about.
"Can’t wait for people to hear this track. I’ve been a big fan of Olly’s music for many years and it feels very exciting to be releasing a song together with him now. Olly is an incredible person as well and extremely talented creative who I feel has added an amazing dimension to 'Kite'".

"When I first heard 'Kite', it made me feel sunny and happy, thank you Benjamin! It was a great experience working together, he’s a really sweet guy and I’m excited to be on this gem of a song."

‘Kite’ was co-written by Benjamin himself, alongside acclaimed songwriters Anya, Jon Shave, Salem Al-Fakir and Vincent Pontare, who have worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and Zayn Malik among others. Vargas & Lagola, who have worked with Madonna, Avicii, Sia, A$AP Rocky and Lady Gaga, among others, and Jon Shave, served as producers for the track. The song draws inspiration from the enchanting melodies that filled Benjamin’s childhood home. These melodies have been intertwined with the classic Swedish pop and soul sound of the 70s, as well as more modern sounds from the late 90s.
Benjamin Ingrosso is gearing up for his “Better Days Tour 2024” which will see him performing in Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Norway, Italy, Spain, Finland and Sweden from April 1st to April 23rd 2024.
Olly Alexander on the other hand is gearing up for his Eurovision 2024 participation in Benjamin’s home country, Sweden. He will be performing ‘Dizzy’ for the United Kingdom at this years contest in Malmö, but before that, he has confirmed that he will be performing at the Pre-Parties in Madrid (30th March), London (April 7th), Amsterdam (April 13th) and Stockholm (April 14th).
