The national broadcaster from Finland YLE has revealed the hosts for UMK (Uuden Musiikin Kilapilu), the Finnish national selection for Eurovision. It consists of two women.
First up, we have Paula Vesala (called Vesala) who is one of Finland’s most respected and well-regarded artists. She has been one of the lead singers of the Pop-Rock band PMMP who did music from 2002 until 2013. During that time, they have achieved three #1 albums and two #1 singles in Finland. Since 2015, Vesala performs as a solo artist with great success including another #1 album. Based on that stunning career, it doesn’t surprise that she will also be the interval act with a performance exclusively designed for UMK. Vesala stated that Natasha Lomm has directed the choreography and is going to include contemporary dance.

She has 388,000 subscribers on her Youtube account and more than 440,000 followers on Instagram. Kauppalehti, a Finnish economic journal, named her one of the ten most influential media players in 2016. In addition to that, she is a big Eurovision fan.
