Désirée Nosbusch returns to Eurovision as Luxembourgish spokesperson

Désirée Nosbusch has been confirmed as the spokesperson for Luxembourg at this years Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. She will become the first Luxembourgish spokesperson to reveal the country’s votes on screen, as the last time the country was in Eurovision, in 1993, each country’s spokesperson was connected to the venue via telephone line.

Désirée Nosbusch is a Luxembourgish actress and television presenter. At 19 years old, she became the youngest ever Eurovision host, when she solo hosted the 29th Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg. Fast forward 40 years, and she was one of the co-hosts of Luxembourg’s first national final.

Luxembourg’s first Eurovision participant since 1993 is 23 year old Tali Golergant, who is of Peruvian and Israeli descent. She won The Luxembourg Song Contest back in January with the song “Fighter”. She will close semi final one of Eurovision 2024 on Tuesday 7th May.
