Dan Shipton will be returning to Eurovision this year, working alongside Austria, Cyprus and Germany.
Dan Shipman, who was the Lead Creative Director for Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool, will be returning to Eurovision this year as the Creative Director for Kaleen (Austria), Silia Kapsis (Cyprus) and Isaak (Germany).
The BAFTA nominated Creative Director, Show Director and Designer has extensive experience working at the Eurovision Song Contest since 2015, and has worked with a total of nine different European countries, including his own, the United Kingdom.
However, despite working with the United Kingdom’s Eurovision representatives in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022, and with STAND UNIQU3 at last years Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Shipton will not be working alongside Olly Alexander and the United Kingdom’s delegation at this years contest in Malmö.
Head of Show for Eurovision 2023 Lee Smithurst explained on the EuroTrip Podcast back in January that Dan will not be working with Olly Alexander for Eurovision 2024 as he has his own team, and that Olly will be working with Theo Adams, who has collaborated with Olly for a number of years now.
Olly Alexander and Lee Smithurst however have worked together on numerous occassions before, most notably for his and Elton John’s performance of “It’s A Sin” at the BRIT Awards in 2021.
