Czech Republic: Vesna wins ESCZ 2023

Vesna have won 'ESCZ 2023' and will represent Czech Republic in Liverpool with their song "My Sister's Crown"!

The show took place in ČT Studios. People around the world had a week to vote for there favourites, after each act performed their song live on the official Eurovision YouTube channel.

The results were as follows:

  1. Vesna – My Sister’s Crown (10584 points)
  2. Pam Rabbit – ghosting (4217 points)
  3. RODAN – Introvert Party Club (1995 points)
  4. Markéta Irglová – H A P P Y (1009 points)
  5. Maella – Flood (599 points)

The result were decided using a system of 30% Czech votes and 70% international votes. Vesna won both sets of votes. 

Czech Republic had a slow start in their Eurovision journey after debuting in 2007, failing to qualify for the final until 2016. Their best result came in 2018 with Mikolas Josef and his song “Lie To Me” finishing in 6th place.
