BREAKING: the 7 Shortlisted Cities for Eurovision 2023!

August 12, 2022

The list of seven finalized cities for Eurovision 2023 have been revealed by the BBC and EBU!

One of the following seven cities will be announced as the host of Eurovision 2023 following the next stages of the selection process:

  • Birmingham
  • Glasgow
  • Leeds
  • Liverpool
  • Manchester
  • Newcastle
  • Sheffield

Notable cities who have not made it to the next stage, include London, Belfast and Edinburgh, though it has alway been slightly unclear which cities had officially submitted an application.

Interestingly, 6 of the 7 cities are in England, with only 1 city (Glasgow, Scotland), being outside of England.  It is also noteworthy that there is a great representation from the northern region of England (Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield) — two of the cities are even in the same county (Leeds and Sheffield are both in Yorkshire).
