Armenia opens up submissions for Junior Eurovision 2022

Armenia have begun the process of finding their Junior Eurovision 2022 reprsentative.

The First Channel in Armenia has announced a contest to select Armenia’s representative for Junior Eurovision 2022, which will be taking place in it’s capital city, Yerevan in December.

All interested persons between the ages of 9 and 14 can apply to here to take part in the selection process for Junior Eurovision 2022. The deadline is August 1st.

The first stage of the selection process will see all interested persons performing live covers of two songs in front of a jury panel, who will chose which acts will advance to the second round.

Out of all the acts who advance to the second round, the jury panel will chose one of these acts as the winner, who will become Armenia’s Junior Eurovsion 2022 representative.

Malena, who was originally selected as Armenia’s Junior Eurovision representative in 2020 before the country withrew, came back in 2021 and brought Armenia their second victory in the contest, after Vladimir Arzumanyan in 2010.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will take place in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan, Armenia, on Sunday December 11th. This will mark the second time the contest will come to Armenia, and the second time this venue will host, with the first time being in 2011.
