Andy Nicolas confirmed as Theo Evan's backing vocalist for Eurovision 2025.
It has been confirmed that Theo Evan will be joined by Andy Nicolas on the Eurovision stage this year in Basel as a backing vocalist. Andy previously participated in the Greek national final earlier this year, Ethnikós Telikós 2025, where he finished in 10th place with his song “Lost My Way”.
Alongside Andy Nicolas as backing vocalist, Theo Evan will also be joined by four backing dancers – Sam Vazquez, Diego Rey, Guillem Carreno and Rafa Soto. Their choreographer is Borja Rueda, whilst Sergio Jaen is responsible for their artistic direction.
Andy Nicolas was born Andreas Koutsonikolas in Denmark to a Greek-Canadian father and a Danish mother. He is one of Greece’s leading songwriters, having worked with the likes of Eleni Foureira, Helena Paparizou, Tamta and Demy, among many others.
Theo Evan, born Evangelos Theodorou in Nicosia is a singer-songwriter, dancer and actor. He released his first song “The Wall” in 2021. He was internally selected by the Cypriot broadcaster to represent them at Eurovision 2025, and in doing so, he becomes the first Cypriot-born artist to represent Cyprus at Eurovision since Hovig in 2017.
Cyprus’ last Eurovision representative was 17 year old Silia Kapsis, an Australian-born singer, dancer and actress with a Cypriot father and a Greek mother. Silia was internally selected by the Cypriot broadcaster to represent the Island nation at Eurovision 2024. With her song “Liar” she qualified to the final where she finished in 15th place with 78 points.
